Title A Study on Post-Occupancy Evaluation and Space Modifications between Apartment unit plans in Masan and Changwon City Area

Abstract This survey research in aimed at differentiating between the apartment unit plans by means of post-occupancy evaluation and space modifications by users to suggest the residential planning for the future.After having investigated family lives and interior spaces of 312 households at MASAN and CHANGWON city, the results are shown as follows;1 Living balcony and service balcony are evaluted more positively than other interior spaces in plan type 1 and plan type 3; Anbang and Geosil in plan type 2 and plan type 4. Dining Kitchen and Jatunbnag are evaluated lest negatibely. The key point of these evaluation is `large' and `narrow', that is, the size of each room.2 Three cases through synthesizing facts and demands of space modifications are made largely. The girst cases are appeared to cope with narrow spaces of each room, especially, Geosil and Dining Kitichen in plan type 1, the second to cope with the inadequacy of Living Kitchen in plan type 2, the third to cope with the shortage of storage spaces in plan type 2. Three cases are appeated equally in plan type 3 and plan type 4.
