Finite Element Analysis of The Composite Hyperbolic Paraboloid Shell |
Abstract |
This paper presents the finite element analysis of stiffened plate/shell. A shell is idealized with three dimensional 9-node curved shell elements and a stiffened beam with 16-node solid elements. Modeling of shell-to-edge beam intersections is idealized as transition elements using one node on the top surface and one node on the bottom surface of the shell element.Using these elements, the hipped H.P.shell is analysed for uniformly distributed load which has three types shell-to-edge beam intersections. The results are as follows;Secondly, using the edge beam at hipped H.P.shell, intersection of C-rypw in most effective. Finally, using the computer program proposed at this study, most of all the properties of stiffened shell will be calculated such as ridge stiffener of hipped H.P.shell. |
