Abstract This paper was performed to investigate the deformation and the strength of composite beams with reinforced rectangular web opening test parameters were opening size ratio and reinforcing types.Experiments were carried out to examine rigidity, ductility, strength, failure type, deformation of web opening and concrete slab cracks for eleven beams.The results are as follows.1.Various types of reinforced openings increase the strength by 28% compared with those without reinforcement of composite beams with web opening.2.The strength of composite beams with web openings decrease as opening size ratio increases.3.Comparing with composite beams with unreinforced web opening, ductility of specimens is increased much by various reinforcing type of web opening.4.Experimental values were over theoretical values as showed on moment-shear interaction curves.
