A Study on the Improvement of Design-Build Projects |
| Abstract |
To incite the technical competition and enhance the productivity of domestic construction industry, design-build aggreement should be enforced positively and the practical researches for improving this institution are needed.The purpose of this paper is to present the improvement schemes of design evaluation criteria used for domestic design-build projects.The major conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The techincal parts are divided into four parts such as civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical department. And also each technical part is divided into the detailed parts according to the characteristics of the projects.(2)The requisite items for design evaluation are selected through the interview with the experts and the review of current design evaluation criteria. And an item, that is, 'new technology' which is the kernel of design-build project is added.(3)Applying the AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) method tothe data obtained from the experts by the questionnaires, the weight-values of evaluation criteria for each detailed techical part are calculated. With these values and the existing criteria, new schemes for the design evaluation criteria for each technical part are suggested. |
