Abstract |
In recent years, considerable attention has been given to issue of humanistic housing space. In this context this research examined how individuals define, express, and reinforce their individual self and collective self through the acquisition and display of home interior objects.The results of this study are as follows;1)Female tends to be more self-gratification oriented in their housing attitude, but male tends to be more self-presentation oriented.2)Housing oriented attitude seems not to be mainly dependent upon collective self, but to be more related to the individual self.3)Home interior objects reflect individual self, collective self and housing oriented attitude. |
