| Abstract |
This study intends to test the validity of multi-item method in contrast with single-item method for the measurement of overall housing satisfaction, The results are as follows:1)Each of multiple items significantly differs in mean-values implying that overall housing satisfaction is a multifaceted construct;2)Multi items have signficant correlations indicating that each item has similar characteristics in the response tendency:3)In multiple regression test overall housing satisfaction can be better explained by the multi-item method than by single-item method suggesting that this multi-item method can increase the validity of post-occupancy evaluation studies. |
