Abstract Intrinsic climatic phenomena are now documented in urban area than its surrounding countryside, that is called urban climate. Higher air temperature is a distinct feature among them. It is caused mainly by urbane atmospheric and surface anomaly different from countryside's such as large heat capacity of buildings, little evapotranspiration and anthropogenic heat release. In this study with the hypothetical residential district composed of 2 apartment buildings, computer model was established to forecast the local air temperature of the each facade of the building. With the computer model 1.The local air temperature for each facade were evaluated during heating season and 2.An evaluation was conducted with additional increment of indoor temperature. The major findings are summarized as follows:1.Local temperature for each facade of the building showed a great fluctuation during days. The mean temperature value for each facade during 24hr was about 2C higher than that of weather data (regional air temperature). The 2C may be a driving force for the urban climate. Also the local temperatures shows a time-lag effect.2.Increment of the indoor air temperature results in additional increment of the local air temperature, 1C in each facade.
