Title |
A Study on the Impulse Response in Room Acoustics |
Abstract |
Instead of the complicated method used conventionally, sound energy ratio using impulse response is said to be a more simple and convinced way to evalute the room acoustical quality, especially the intelligibility of a room. This study aims to varify the relations between the two quantities, the sound energy ratio from impulse response and the intelligibility of Korean Language in a room. There are two kinds of sound-energy-related indices, early-to-late energy ratio and useful-to-detrimental energy ratio. Calculations with the impulse responses of thirty different conditions says that the later is more closely related to the intelligibility score. |
