| Abstract |
In order to study design trends of large corporate hospitals of Korea, design schemes and planning data of Asan Medical Center and Samsung Medical Center are analysed in the aspects of: scale, design concepts, space program, internal space program of major departments,space allocation, and circulation system.Major concepts included in the design of these hospitals, are summarized such as: large-scale, high-quality, patients-centered, high-rise, specialized hospitals, large-investment to diagnosis and treatment departments, smaller nursing unit, enhanced interior and public space, systematic circulation system, and enlarged research and amenity facilities. |
