A Study on the Facility Characteristics and Planning Criteria of Homes for the Aged |
| Abstract |
This paper is to propose planning criteria through facility characteristics analysis of homes for the aged in South Korea. For this purpose, 40 of 115 homes for the aged are surveyed and analysed of the basis of behavior of using the facilities. The results of this study are as follows;1) A morgue, a patient room, and a hairdressing room are shown to be necessary for homes for the aged.2) To promote social interaction among the aged in homes for the aged, open space in homes for the aged must be provided for outdoor facilities, such as pergola, bench, table, etc.3) As the type of housing, an apartement building type is analysed to be desirable. |
