Abstract |
Recently, integrated computer aided building engineering system have emerged as one of the most attractive researches for the improvement of the productivity and quality. The short-term objective of this project is toautomate the structural design and rebar work of RC beam members. The long-term objective is to propose an approach to the integration of all the building production process.With the automation of rebar detail design, which is often carelessly treated, it is possible to prevent the partial lack of resistant capacity of member. Reducing man-efforts, minimizing accidental errors, and preventing material loss can be obtained as a consequence of the automatic data flow from the structural design module to the rebar management module. The implemented database takes exclusive charge of not only efficient data management but also data flow between modules.The result of this research may play a basic role for the full automation of rebar work in the near future. |
