Floor Diaphragm Behaviors in Precast Concrete Large Panel Structures |
Abstract |
Precast concrete(P.C.) large panel structures are constructed generally for the small-unit apartment buildings in Korea. Since the lateral stiffnesses of wall systems (apartment structures) in this case are relatively very large when compared with the in-plane stiffness of floors, the conventional analytical assumption that the floors and roof behave as rigid diaphragms becomes questionable. Therefore, in this paper, in-plane stiffness of floor systems is taken into account by modeling the floor and wall system with plane-stress membrane elements and a 15-story P.C. large panel structure is analysed to check the influence of actual rigidity of floor diaphragms. Also, the phenomena of the in-plane deformation and stress concentration in the floor diaphragm are investigated. |
