| Abstract |
Non-monotonic reasoning is a basic character of human design reasoning. Bu using non-monotonic reasoning, it is possible to develop design more efficiently. It also provides a means to develop design more comprehensively. This article concerns about the use of non-monotonic reasoning in design process, particurly in space planning problem. Based on the belief, design is developed, while the contradictory relationships are identified. By eliminating these contradictory relationships, it reduces the search space. It also makes possible to overview characteristics of design space as well as develop design more wholistically. |
