A Study on the Organization of the Evaluation of Performance for Building Component Systems |
Abstract |
A building component selection process by performance evaluation is composed of several stages. These stages are as follows: first, selecting the object components of analyzing component system, second, selecting component alternatives of combining element systems, and finally, selecting an optimal component system. This study presents a technique that selects an optimal alternative among all alternatives generated by the DBSIM(Diagrammatic-Building-Systems-Integration-Model) through performance evaluation process. This mothod establishes performance criteria and grades, selects alternatives that satisfy those criteria, calculates values through performance evaluation of the integrated alternatives by using mathematical formulae, compares this with desired values, and finally decides acceptable alternatives. |
