A Study on the Design of Dwellings-on-Ground in the flat Housing Estate |
| Abstract |
Owing to the high density and high-rise of multifamily housing, the dwellings-on-ground in flat housing estates have been recognied as the poor housing by the resients in korea. But they have the positive aspects as well as the negative ones in their conditions of residential environment. The design of dwellings-on-ground is an effort to reduce the negative elements and to reinforce the positive ones. This study is to analize the characteristics of the dwellings-on-ground and the residents' responses to their environment in order to improve the existing design of dwellings. It identified what the negative or positive factors are, how they vary in relation to the height of dwellings, and what factors influence to the satisfaction of residents in the dwellings-on-ground, through a case study. |
