Abstract |
The former experiment has extracted the preferable luminance ratios between CRT screen and rest of environments by the subjective evaluation. This study carried out on the working performance and the eye fatigue in order to examine into adaptability of the former experiment results. Firstly, we measured the effects of the performance score(typing numbers, correct rate), the blinking counts, and the near point distance. Secondly, we evaluated the subjective effects of the working performance and the eye fatigue under 3 experimental conditions(keyboard, paper reflectance ratios 0.1,0.4,0.8). The result obtained was as follows; in case of keyboard and paper reflectance ratio 0.4, every experimental item has presented the best. Conclusively, it is proved that the preferable luminance ratios between the CRT screen and rest of environments has found out; character: keyboard:paper=1:3.8:4.1 Lastly, on the basis of the results obtained through series of experiments, we have established guidelines for the lighting design in VDT workspaces. |
