Title |
An Experimental Study on the Wind Force Coefficient of Rectangular Cylinder in the Boundary Layer |
Abstract |
When a tall flexible structure is subjected to lateral or torsional deflections under the action of fluctuating wind loads, the resulting oscillatory movements can induce a wide range ofresponses in the building's occupants, ranging from mild discomfort to acute nausea. It is very important to understand the mechanism of three componets of dynamic wind loads that cause building acceleration. This paper investigated the effect ofside ratio of building and wind direction on the mean and turbulent wind force coefficients through the wind tunnel test to examine the wind-induced acceleration of tall building. |
