| Abstract |
This study aims at surveying the theme park of Japan which subject is the tradition and the locality. There are three types of such theme parks. The first type is that which has Japanese traditioanl background and composes the Japanese traditional, local elements. The second type is that which composes the other country's traditional, cultural elements. And the theme usually comes from countries in Europe. The third type is what is called 'museum-like theme park', disposing the miniature of masterpieces in architecture of the world.These types of theme parks contribute to reinterpretation of tradition, to creative recomposing the traditional architecture, and to local activation. |
