Abstract It is not available to cite evident standards for planning the school and class size according to the law now in force. The appropriate size of school and class with considerations of architectural aspects and responses to each type of handicapped is proposed as below;Class size : seven to eight for physical, visual, hearing, speech handicapped and mentally retarded children, eleven to tweleve for learning disabilities and social and emotional disorders but not exceeds fifteen(Approximately four children for severely handicapped).School size : In general about one hundred handicapped per school, one class at each school year, is appropriate size in view of facility capacity and commuter distance. Up to four hundred handicapped in total for 2-4 classes for hearing and learning disabilities.Facility and area : 30m2/child in average is normal size. For walking convenience and safety, 45m2/child and 50m2/child are appropriate size for physical and visually handicapped respectivelly. For social and emotional disorders and learning disabilities we propose 15m2/child.
