Title |
Evaluation of the Student Dormitory |
Abstract |
Studies of Post-Occupancy Evaluation have emphasized on multi-family residences : nevertheless, the role of POE should be expanded to other types of buildings. The present study examined satisfaction and preference of the university domitory at Chochiwon. Among others, results provided strong preference for study and exercise area, as well as more lobby and lounge space(for listening music, watching TV, etc.). It was also indicated that shower, toilet, and wash rooms should be planned as one space. Noise and ventilation control can be more efficient in one-room plan. Implications for further study, including the domitory room itself, are discussed. |
