A Study on the Behavior of Children at Apartment Complex Playgrounds |
| Abstract |
Children usually have an endless curiosity about everything.They sometimes show us some fanciful, various and unpredictable behaviors and need enough space to play in, no matter where it might be. Designers have to provide children with adequate space in which they feel free to express themselves.Three samples of apartment complexes in Cheongju city were selected in order to satisfy the purpose of this survey. In this study questionnaires, photos, interviews and bservations were used to determine the actual use of the playground, preference of play equipment, satisfaction, and user needs. The conclusions of this survey will hopefully provide understanding of children's behavior and be used for designing future apartment complex playgrounds. |
