A study on the social classes of apartment residents in Korea |
| Abstract |
This article analizes social classes of apartment residents in order to make a base for the understandings of Korean Apartment housing. It compares middle class residential area and location where apartments were built in terms of space and time by analizing the 1971 Korea National Housing Coperation's inquiry and E.P.B's Population and Housing Census Report.As a result, this research finds out that the residents of Korean Apartment are mainly composed of middle class people. For the understanding of Korean Apartment Architectural characteristcs, it is necessary to comprehend residential life style of middle class people. |
