A Study on the User`s Housing Needs for Dwelling Unit of Apartment |
| Abstract |
The understanding of living styles is very important for housing design. Especially in multiple housing design, the understanding of living styles as the types is required because the apartment residents have got diverse housing needs according to their diverse living styles. The living styles are changed and diversified in interaction process of the housing idea, the housing behavior and the housing space. And the housing needs can be understood as the characteristics of living styles corresponding with the housing idea which is composed of the housing behavior idea and the housing space idea. So, this study aims to find out the types of housing idea as the types of living styles and the trends of preferred organization of space in dwelling unit plan according to types of housing idea. For this purpose, the field experiments in Pusan have been carried out with 258 households living in apartments over two bedrooms. As the findings of this research, the types of housing idea on apartment residents are classified into 6 types which have the significantly different household attributes of residents. And it was examined that the preferrence of space organizations as the users housing needs are significantly different according to types of housing idea. |
