An Empirical Study on the Planning Factors of Neighbourhood Living Environment for the Elderly in Urban Area |
| Abstract |
The actual state of neighbourhood living enviornment and dwelling consciousness of the aged are inspected empirically, analyzed and studied on differences between groups by district, sex, age, state of finance and housing type in this paper for the planning of dwelling environment in connection with demands of the elderly in urban area.As the result, there are few significant differences between groups by district in the level of significance a=0.01. but, in the occasion of sex, age and state of finance, 15~16 of 18 items have significant discrepancy. And there are 12 significant differences of 18 items between groups by housing type.Synthetically, 3 factors especially-state of finance, sex and age-of the elderly proved to be very importantfactors of the planning on residential environment for the aged in the urban area. So, those factors should beconsidered seriously in planning of neighbourhood living environment for the elderly in future. |
