| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to examine the changing characteristics and the continuing characteristics of Urban Traditional Housing in Seoul after 1930s. The changing charateristics of Urban Traditional Housing from 1930s to present are as follows: the increase of the effectiveness in space use, the pursuit of convenience in life, the change from man/women division to parents/children of leaseholder/leasee division in space use, the increase of independent spaces etc. In spite of these changes, there are also some continuing characteristics: the function and location of yard, the function of main room(anbang) and living(maru),the composition of K-R-L(M)-R. |
