Abstract The duct is the important equipment in the process of air inlet and circulation systems for the air conditioning. It'gs necessary to design the duct considering the efficiency of ventilation by the kinds and aspect ratios of ducts. In this study, we examine the phenomenon of air flow by manufacturing the four rectangular testing ducts of which aspect ratios are 1 : 1, 1 : 2, 1 : 3, and 1 : 4 and measuring the pressure loss of the duct. We will computate the velocity distributions, Reynolds numbers, wind quantities by using these data measured by Pitot tube and suggest the experimental formula using the least square method.
