| Abstract |
This paper studying about the architectural organization and periodic transformation of 'Lue' (2-storied building) in Hyanggyo(local school annexed to the Confucian shrines). It is possible to obtain following conclusions :The type of 3X2 'Kan'appears the most in a plane, and this type is general. In the case of 5X2 'Kan' type, gable-roof constitutes the most part. A place, which is constructed wall in the upper part, appears sometime.Most of it appears before 17th century and built chiefly in Kyungbuk province. As for the regional architectural characteristic, half-hipped roof of 3 'Kan' constitutes mainly in the most of area including Kyungnam province, while gable-roof of above 5 'Kan' constitutes mainly in Kyungbuk province. |
