A Numerical Study on the Thermal Performance of Duct Structure in Apartments |
| Abstract |
This paper evaluated thermal perferamance of insulated duct structure compared with uninsulated one in apartments through numerical simulation. A two-dimensional, steady state heat conduction equation was solved using a finite volume method and the temperature distribution and the heat flux were discussed. The result showed that the heat loss rate in uninsulated structure was 2-4.5 times higherthan that in insulated structure. |
