A Study on the Determination of Use for Utilizing Underground Space |
| Abstract |
This research aims to analyze uses pattern of underground space and to draw practical suggestions for use determination of underground space. To achieve these goals, the research was made by the following phases: (1) The major elements of the analysis frames found to be 'purposes of development', 'depth ranges' and 'methods of developent'. (2) Overseas examples were analyzed according to these frames. (3) As the results of this analysis, uses of underground space, properly applicable to the condition of Korean urban and rural area, were suggested. This suggestion mainly runs as follows: (1)For the 'purposes of development', four categories of commercial, education and research, recreational and multi-purpose were proposed. (2) For the 'depth ranges', appropriate ranges such as shallow (-10m), moderate(10-30m) and deep(30m-) range were proposed. (3) For the 'mehtods of development', three methods of single building development, block unit development and network development were suggested. |
