Abstract The objective of this study was to develop an analyticl model for predicting the complete load-deflection relations of reinforced steel fibrous concrete beam (RSFCB) under flexural loading. The model was developed based on the nonlinear layered finite element method with the iteration scheme on secant modulus of elasticity of each layer in a beam section. Some experiments were also performed on the reinforced steel fibrous concrete beam in this study in order to verify thevalidity of the developed model. Comparisons between the predictions of the developed model and the experimental results performed in this research and those reported in other literatureon the steel fibrous concrete beam were shown to be in good agreement. Using the developed model, some parametric studies were conducted to examine the effects of fiber reinforcement index and the tensile steel ratios on the overall flexural behavior of reinforced steel fibrous concrete beam.
