A Study of New Shape Flat Deck Plate |
| Abstract |
A new type of steel deck plate was developed to better promote galvanized sheet steel in construction field. The shape of this new type product, called ultra deck plate(UDP), is some different from the conventional flat deck plate comprised of upper embossinged flat surface and several ribs at lower surface. Secional properties of the UDP were deisgned to have better performance than those of conventional one. Therefore it has more cost benefit and theoretically it can be roll-formed with thinner galvanized sheet steel and still gives the same strength as the regular flat deck plate. |
