Projective Behaviour and its Implications to Architectural Space |
Abstract |
This paper discusses porjective behaviour as constituting an integral part of human spatiality and attempts to shed light on its implications to architectural space with regard to the effective room size, the permeability of architectural boundaries and the experience of virtual space, each illustrated with actual or hypothetical examples. The purpose of the paper is to argue the importance of accommodating projective behaviour in creating experientially rich spaces, thus encouraging the development of lively relationships between us and the built environment as well as between ourselves. |
