A Study on Characteristics of Energy Consumption in Apartment Buildings |
| Abstract |
This study was aimed at the development of energy conservation methods and efficient energy use for apartment buildings. The real state of energy consumption was analyzed for 4,500 units and 57 apartment buildings. We suggested the practical application for energy conservation methods and efficient energy use which was based on the investigations and analyses.The main contents and scopes of this study are as follows. 1)The energy consumption is surveyed for different unit locations and floor areas. 2)The thermal performance measurements is performed for sample apartment building and for model room. 3)The air infiltration rate is obtained for ventilation and airtight performance. 4)Based on the collected and measured data, the thermal performance of apartment buildings is evaluated by computer simulation. |
