| Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to study the disposition and formal analysis of italin plaza. The results of study are as follow: 1. The plaza which is on the crossing of several roads is located at the center of city to compose an urban core, and the exterior wall of consecutive buildings forms the boundary of plaza. 2. Axis is organizied with the access way of plaza in the center for the visuability and symbolic meaning of major public buildings, and the monumental buildings are located at the background of plaza. 3. The plaza has a perspective effect that was originated from Renaissance period with axis, direction and open composition. 4. It is considered that the form of plaza is originated form Agora of Greece and Roman Forum, studying the plazas which were planned in diverse periods and regions. |
