A Study on the Analyzing Model for Construction Delay-Claims |
| Abstract |
It is expected that the construction claims increase in domestic market after opening the construction market. Therefore, it is a matter of urgency to prepare a method of solving the construction claims. The purpose of this research is to present a formal analyzing model for construction delay-claims.The main results of this study are summarized as follows;(1) The provisions in conditions of construction contracts are closely related with construction claims and /or disputes.(2) The basis for all discussion of claims must be the contract provisions which are related to claims. Then it is possible to review the feasibility of claims through the list of relevant provisions, the interpretation of listed provisions, the related text and the similar cases.(3) To verify the validity of the proposed model, a case study is performed on the construction delay claim which is related with constract drawings.For the practical application of the proposed model, it is essential to provide total database system that contains detailed information of construction claims. |
