A Study on the prototype of site and floor plan patterns of rural houses |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to find the prototypes of site and floor plan patterns for traditional rural houses in inland field area of Chonbuk province. Houses are classified to lower class houses and upper class houses. The characters of houses are found through the datum from field survey and interview with rural people.The original prototype of site plan depends upon the position of auxiliary building for Momchae(main building) and Sarangchae that is concerned to entrance axis in the upper class house. The prototypes of floor plan patterns in the lower class houses depend upon the position of kitchen and the composition of Kan. In the upper class house, probably it seems like that site and floor plan patterns depend upon master's will and floor plan patterns are developed from linear pattern. The prototype can be found from the composition patterns of Kan and the combination of room. |
