Improvement of Room Temperature Control System in Apartment House |
| Abstract |
Locating the temperature controller on the wall is based on the western living style i.e. seating on the chair. But this is not appropriate for the Korean living style i.e. seating directly on the floor. Because the air temperature around dweller sitting on the floor is higher than the air temperature around the controller on the wall. The study evaluates the thermal performance of the room for the most suitable location of the temperature control sensor for Korean floor seating style. Experiments are conducted for the evaluation of thermal environment of dwelling, and temperature variations are measured as changing the location of sensor. The result shows that the placing of the temperature control sensor on the floor is more rational than any other cases for the Korean floor seating living style. |
