Survey and Appraisal on the Effects of the Improvement Projects in Housing Area |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to assess up-grading project which is based on the Act 4115(temporary statute for the improvement of urban squatter area of low income class).There are totally 502 projects in the nation and Taejon city has 17 projects(6 projects are put into operation until 1994). This study has focused on Dai-wha district in Taejon and find out some critera for the improvement projects in the near future. Socially suitable neighborhood design consists of the physical plan for better livability and the socio-economic plan for larger income or proximity. It is recommended that Deutch's Sozialplan is useful for socio-economic plan and English cost/value comparion should support decision making. Administrative office should support the organization of inhabitants/experts and the betterment of infrastructures, but should not intervene thecooperation process. The survey of Dai-wha district reveals several problems in mis-coordination between related parties and discrepancies among planning levels even though the project seemes to be successful to dwellers. |
