Abstract |
The practical methods for evaluating the equivalent lateral stiffnessof high-rise wall-frame structures are proposed. Until now, the methods of evaluating the lateral stiffness by top displacement of a structure have been used in general, but in this study, the equivalent single degree of freedom system method in which the deflected shape of the structure can be considered is developed for evaluating the equivalent alteral stiffness. The results of this study give structural engineers a deep understanding on the equivalent lateral stiffness of high-tise wall-frame structures under lateral loadings. |
