Strength Characteristics of Concrete in consider of Curing Temperature |
| Abstract |
The objective of this study is to define the chatacteristics of cold weather concrete varing compressive strength of concrete and curing temperature. The major test vatiables are 1) concrete compressive strength, 2) curing temperature, 3) volume of air content, 4) freezing time after placement, and 5) freezing duration.From the test results sit was shown that. 1) the cylinder with higher compressive strength shows that the higher increasing of the concrete strength when the freezing temperature is constant, 2) the cylinder with 10 hour freezing time after 8 hour passing time shows the 30~60% of compressive strength with respect to standard cured cylinder, and 3) the concrete should be cured in standard condition at least 24 hour after concrete placement. |
