| Abstract |
The purposes of the paper include(1) recognition of Space Sytanx model(by B. Hillier et al) through the philosophy of mind, and (2) rationalization of the function of the philosophical approach for the proper recognition of the model. The paper recognizes the model through the comprehension of multi-level theory, and also emphasizes the establishment of solid analogy between mind and architectural space. It concludes that multi-level in architectural space cannot be represented nor understood only by reduction or deduction because of the flexibility of architectural space, and that the multi-level theory in the philosophy of mind affords a very convincing path to grasping Space Syntax model. |
