| Abstract |
Despite a boom in recent museum architecture, it is true that apart from the studies on museum environment mainly associated with conservation and lighting, there is little practical data available for architects. Therefore, this paper aims at finding out an appropriatemethodology by which practical data for architects can be obtained. It is tackled by thorough investigation of the existing studies concerning museum architecture.This paper suggests that the primary concern of the architectural researches on museums should be about spatial organisation and spatial distribution which are the most useful data for the architect, especially at the early stage of the museum design. |
