A Study on the Change of the Characters in Museum Architecture |
Abstract |
The Museums designed in the late 20th centruy which we call contemporary museume being characterized by some distinctive trait, the term 'character' was introduced. The character of architecture itself consists in two components with one related to function and another to its sociocultural meaning. The museums,understood primarily in the functional sense,despite their capacity for permanence as an enduring spatial necessity, are subjected to inevitably processes of change and modernization. Also the contemporary museums distinguish themselves quite from their predecessors and this applies both to their own form and to their contextual situation.These changes in museums were clearly defined by analyzing to use the theoretical frame to be suggested. In general, the culture and technology of communications became important part of the programme for museums which are concentrating more on the figurative than the abstract of form. Above all, in every one of cases in this paper, there are certain key relationships which hold for the adaption of the architectonic space to museographic programme. |
