A Study on the Establishment of the Standard Colors and the Practical Guide for Color Planning in Apartment House Exteriors |
| Abstract |
We are reseaching for the purpose of establishing thestandard colors and providing the practical guide for Color Planning in apartment house exteriors.This study is the first step of some series of the research.In this study: First, We have surveyed the color of the high-rise apartment houses in Taejon and seoul area. Second,We have extracted the evalution construct model of the exterior color of apartment houses, using the Repertory-Grid Developmental Method.The results of this paper are as follows:(1)The dominant colors of the existing apartment are the non-chromatic color and the yellow high value and low chroma. The subdominant colors are the non-chromatic color, the yellow-red, the yellow,and the green with high value and low chroma. And, the accent colors are distributed at wide range in hue, value and chroma.(2)The patterns of color scheme are classified by the several types. The pattern of facade color is mainly vertical type. In the case of side, those are mostly simple type.(3)The evaluation construct model of the exterior color in apartment house, which is classified into four categories; visual, psychological evaluation, warmness, exciting. The visual is related to the patterns of color scheme and a number of using color. The psychological evaluation, it is connected with the pattern and the harmony of color scheme. The warmness has the high relation to warm color, and the exciting is connected with the patterns of color scheme. |
