A Study on the Tensile Resistance of Horizontal Joints used Spiral Bar in Precast Concrete Large Panel Structures |
Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to prove the structural behavior of the spiral bar joint that is one of the connecting methods of PC Large Panel Structure, and to propose the designing formula.Large numbers of parameters which affect tensile strength and failure shape of the spiral bars are assembles as following; 1) diameter, inner diameter of spiral bar and number of rotation 2) concrete compressive strength 3) diameter and inner diameter of hook bar 4)load conditions. Total 93 specimens were manufactured to investigate the strength of spiral joint of grout mortar and adaptability of other kinds of concrete such as polymer, epoxy and steel fiber concrete.The diameter of spiral bar and concrete compressive strength increase, the maximum tensile resistance capacity increase in the horizontal joint specimens.The diameter of spiral bar is the major factor affected by tensile resistance capacity among those parameters. |
