A Study on the Location of Stock Space for Contaminated Materials and their Transportation in Wards of Hospital |
| Abstract |
This study aimed at proper location of the stock space for contaminated materials. The methodology of this study is to evaluate stock spaces with regard to contaminated materials and the operational policy with regard to its location in four hospitals in Seoul. The results are as follows;1) The transportation pattern can be classified into three patterns. Pattern I belongs to medical sets. Pattern II belongs to general wastes, pattern III belongs to food and laundry.2) The concept of stock space can be classifed into four patterns that are a)centralized pattern, b)partially centralized pattern, c)scattered pattern, d)compromise pattern.3) The location of the stock area is proposed to be decentralized from the vicinity of nurse station. |
