| Abstract |
Widely used library classification systems are compared in this paper. Structures and contents of DDC, UDC and KDC are evaluated and compared to each other, and merits and demerits of each systems are analyzed in the aspect of architecture and construction industry in Korea.The rusult shows that DDC is the most suitable classification system for the field of arcdhitecture and construction industry providing architecture related features. The result can be used as a base information in developing a standard classification system of basic and frequent literatures in the field of construction industry to facilitate management and retrieval of information relating the industry. |
