Title |
A Study on the Thermal Performance Evaluation Method for the Insulation Details of the Joints in a Apartment Building Envelope |
Abstract |
The regions of joints in a apartment building envelope are apt to be thermal bridges, and often refered to as thermal anomalies. To improve the thermal performance of these regions, optimal insulation details should be applied after the evaluation of surface condensation and thermal performance based on the life cycle cost analysis. In this study, the boundary conditions for surface condensation analysis, the evaluation bounds and the definition of heat loss through the joints and the calculation method of annual energy cost and life cycle cost are suggested to develop the optimal insulation details of the joints in a apartment building envelope. |
