Title Structural Characteristics of a New Composite Column Composed of Steel Square Tube and Precast Concrete Panels

Abstract This paper deals with the results of beam-column tests for new type composite columns that consist of four precast panels and steel square tube. The composite columns were tested under the constant axial load and anti-symmetrical repeated moment. It is confirmed that the bending stiffness and strength of the composite column are much greater than those of a bare steel column. And it is found out evaluation method of a strength and stiffness of a new type composite column.
