The Establishment of the Optimum Operating Conditions in Ondol Heating System |
Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to propose the optimum operating conditions in Ondol heating system. At first, the thermal analysis method, which use response factor method for the calculation of transmission loss through walls and Gebhart's absorption factor method for the calculation of radiant heat exchanges in a room, is developed. Secondly, the experimental systems are set up and a series of experiments are performed. From the esperimental results, the effect of the thickness of the thermal storage layer is discussed and the accuracy of the developed simulation program is verified. And, the required hot water temperatures in the continuous heating conditions and the required daily heatinghours in the intermittent heating conditions are calculatedby using the simulation program and generalized according to the outdoor temperatures. |
